Lesson 4: Value What You Do
This has been a big learning curve over the last few years. As the business has evolved and I have explored a few career paths, I now know what my passion is, helping like-minded small businesses to discover their magic, giving them the tools, confidence and vision to do what they love and be authentic to themselves.
Sometimes we all get imposter syndrome, doubts about what we are doing, are we really making a difference to our own lives and others. We all get a wobble occasionally. What others see in us can be a lot different to what we think about ourselves.
But I know deep down this is just our confidence.
We are all different
We all have a certain magic
We are all skilled in some way
We can achieve anything
We need to step back for a second and have a really good look. Look at what we have achieved. I’m often told that I’m multi-talented, which is so lovely to hear. It makes me think about what I have done. My determination to be the best version of myself. To have time to focus on what I want to do. Fulfil my creativity.
I know I make a difference to my client’s lives, their confidence and businesses. The feedback I get is so heart warming. I pinch myself at times to think that I have been able to help them in such a powerful way. Little old me that used to not say boo to a goose when a girl. I have achieved so much and yes my lovelies…I value what I do.
So, my lovely small business owner, whether you are an artisan, florist, yoga instructor, coach, wedding planner, interior designer or nature inspired soul trader, let’s value what we do, because we matter.
